Senior Pastor of Iglesia 3:16 in Oakwood, Georgia. Pastor and his wife Azanet Mercado have worked in the ministry for more than 15 years, of which Jorge was a youth pastor for 10 years and then 4 more as an associate pastor in a Hispanic ministry.

Pastor Mercado and his family have begun this journey with Iglesia 3:16, which God put in his heart after having experienced the transformational power of God in his and his family’s lives. Pastor Jorge fought with alcohol and drug addiction for 12 years. God in his mercy liberated him one morning in which he had a pistol to his head ready to commit suicide. After this life changing situation, Pastor Mercado has seen how God continues to restore his life, marriage and relationship with his children. He and his wife have 3 children, Michelle, Tony and Belinda and are proud grandparents of their first grandchild, Jon Evan.  Pastor Mercado has much to thank God for calling him to this work, preparing him and strengthening him to work in his kingdom. He also considers it a privilege to be an instrument of God to declare the message of salvation.
